Senior Business Development Manager




Full Time



  • Sell online advertising to direct sales and agency clients
  • Prepare media placement proposals
  • Attend to all sales enquires/leads diligently and follow up closely for order realization
  • Achieve individual sales targets
  • Prospect, identify and acquire new advertisers, including leading local workshops, presenting at relevant conferences, and generating PR opportunities
  • Upsell and cross-sell different online media to existing clients
  • Work with technical and operations teams to develop specific account plans based on industry trends and customer analysis
  • Engage, build, cultivate and manage C-level client relationships
  • Aggressively drive business expansion in the market
  • To complete other ad hoc activities as assigned by Director

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor degree or above with relevant experience in business or related fields; internet and sales experience are a must
  • 7-10 years digital industry experience, with in-depth understanding of the Japanese media landscape and strong connections with advertisers and media agencies
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Target-oriented, self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Has strong business and market awareness with strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills, hardworking, self-motived and able to work under pressure and tight schedule
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork – able to build good relationships with external and internal parties
  • Excellent command in spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese
  • Computer literacy including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Tencent products is a plus
